What you must know about Tanzania Medical Journal

The Tanzania Medical Journal (TMJ) TMJ is the official journal of the Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT). Currently, it is under the administrative support of the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS).
It is an East-African Centric, peer-reviewed journal with significant emphasis on supporting the dissemination of medical knowledge in Tanzania.
TMJ publishes original scientific research, short communications, reviews, case reports and letters to the editor, in any branch of medical science.
The articles must have a direct importance and relevance with Tanzania (or East Africa), but may have been developed from outside Tanzania.
TMJ strives to ensure that the manuscripts live up to international standards, by scrutinizing all the articles through a peer-review process which ensures that articles carry the right massage, they are original ideas, ethically conducted and will add value to the medical community in reading the journal.
In recognition of the fact that there is inadequate research and also lack of expertise in the field; affecting the quality of research, TMJ is dedicated to supporting all authors who plan to publish on any interesting medical topic in Tanzania.
This support comes in a wide range of options; from reviewing the entire manuscript, to advice on statistics and formatting.
TMJ has a dedicated a section that offers authors assistance by senior authors from within Tanzania and abroad.
